Leading European consumer goods companies by market capitalization 2023
Food and beverages lead the game
European food and beverage companies like Anheuser-Busch InSev and Unilever are also among the giants of the consumer goods landscape. Of these two, the Belgian beer and alcoholic beverage company Anheuser-Busch InSev is attributed to the highest sales among leading beer companies worldwide. The multinational company owns highly popular beer brands such as Stella Artois, Corona, and Beck’s among others.
Luxury brands
While leading consumer goods companies in Europe are predominantly from the non-durable category, one other contender hails from the luxury end. France's LVMH Group ranked in the first place with a market capitalization of 460 billion US dollars. Parent to many luxury brands including Louis Vitton, Möet, Givency and Christion Dior, LMVH generates the highest revenue from its fashion and leather products. Other than this, the group's product range include cosmetics, wines and spirits, watches and jewelry.
